Brief History

Afropikt IK Consultancy Services (Registration number: K2019426337) was formed to bridge the gap between orthodox conventional medicine (OCM) and traditional medicine (TM) for the promotion of healthcare delivery on the African continent.

The CEO is passionate about the promotion of indigenous knowledge systems (IKS).

His PhD thesis focussed on the development of a framework to assist traditional healers in managing diabetes and hypertension on the African continent. The CEO believes intensive traditional medicine research is the way forward for Africa to secure the health of the citizenry on the continent.

Core Objectives

• To assist in bridging the gap between orthodox conventional medicine and traditional medicine for the promotion of healthcare on the African continent.
• To promote IKS research and development on the African continent.
• To assist with cannabis research and development on the African continent.
• To assist in the establishment of TM faculties in the various universities across the continent.
• To partner with developmental agencies in carrying out IKS-based innovation and technology to mitigate the effects of climate change on the continent.
• To train traditional healers about how to ensure safe practices regarding their profession to prevent unwanted patient casualties.

Dr. Ebenezer Frimpong

Dr. Ebenezer Frimpong holds an MPharm degree from Ternopil State Medical University, Ukraine and a Master of Medical Science (Pharmaceutical Chemistry) degree and PhD pharmacy degree from the University of KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa.

He is the former public relations officer (PRO) for the United Nations Association of South Africa UKZN branch and served as an ITU chair during the Zurich Model United Nations conference held in Switzerland in 2017. He chaired the WHO committee during the Cambridge University International Model UN conference in 2011. In 2022, he was invited as a panel member (African representative) to discuss "Best Practices for Inclusion of Indigenous Perspectives and Values in Formal and Informal Education Systems" at the UN Conference on Climate Change held in Bonn, Germany.

He is the founder and the director of the non-profit organization known as Dumisa Agro and Rural Health (DARH) which is helping in the UN efforts to fight against climate change through afforestation projects with women in the rural areas.

He is an ardent soccer fan and served as an official volunteer during UEFA 2012 and FIFA Confederations Cup 2013 held in Ukraine/Poland and Brazil respectively.
